Log #4: Q1+Q2 Round Up, the Sablesoft Singularity, & Strategic Planning!

This Week’s Space Tea

After an unexpected five-month hiatus, I’m back with a candid Q1 and Q2 life update—and a reflection on what happens when life forces you to slow down, recalibrate, and redefine what truly matters. Over the past several months, I navigated multiple family crises, balanced work, school, and creative pursuits, and learned that progress isn’t always measured by how much you produce, but by how faithfully you continue showing up through difficult seasons. In this episode, I share the lessons I’ve learned, the unexpected opportunities that have emerged, and how those experiences inspired me to create a more intentional vision for my future—one centered on growth, peace, and building a life by design instead of by default. If you’ve ever felt like life knocked you off course, this episode is a reminder that sometimes the detour becomes the path.

In this episode, I talk about…

  • Where I’ve been for the past five months, and why I stepped away from the podcast

  • Navigating several major personal and family challenges while learning to focus on what mattered most

  • Why sometimes the greatest accomplishment is simply making it through a difficult season with your values intact

  • Updates on work, school, certifications, and continuing to build momentum one step at a time

  • How my writing journey has evolved—including slower drafting, but deeper worldbuilding and long-term planning for the Sodom series

  • The importance of celebrating progress that isn’t always visible from the outside

  • A few exciting freelance opportunities that reminded me of the value of continually investing in my skills (without spilling the tea just yet 😉)

  • The surprising clarity that came from asking myself what I truly want my life to feel like—not just what I want to accomplish

  • Introducing the philosophy of Sablesoft: a vision centered on growth, peace, creativity, and intentional living

  • Why I’m learning to live the Sablesoft mindset today instead of waiting for some future destination to give me permission

  • The beginnings of a long-term strategic plan for my life, creative work, and businesses—and why thinking in systems has completely changed how I approach my future

  • A preview of next week’s episode, where I’ll share how creating a personal strategic plan helped me move from reacting to life toward intentionally designing it

Hobbies, Crafts, Fun, Self-care

  • Created a set of bingo cards for 2026. I’ve done a yearly bingo card, quarterly bingo cards, and also, monthly bingo cards. I saw this on another creator’s YouTube channel, and I loved the idea. She made a yearly bingo card, but because I’m crazy, I needed monthly, quarterly, and yearly ones, lol.
  • Created 2 original soundtracks on Suno. One soundtrack is a lofi, Afro beats coffee shop soundtrack and the other is a Star Wars-inspired trap and dark R&B soundtrack.
  • Prioritized sleep, water, rest, recuperation, and family. Because at the end of the day, self-care is what lays the foundation for all things present and future!
  • Entered my HOE phase… HEALTH OVER EVERYTHING! Health, fitness, and wellness overall has been progressing well, even when I can’t get into the gym, but I continue to make gains, which is excellent
  • Did a financial planning reboot and prep for 2026 to meet my financial goals. And I’m super excited about it.
  • Completed a mid-year / new year birthday-CEO retreat to refresh my goals on all fronts.
  • Adopted kittens (one tortie and one tuxedo, and they are a handful!)
